TrackMan Combine Test FAQs Guide
The TrackMan Combine Test is a standardised skills assessment built into TrackMan systems. It consists of 60 shots to 10 set distances (6 shots per target), scoring you on how close each shot finishes to the intended carry distance and line. It’s designed to measure distance control, dispersion and consistency from wedges through to mid-irons.
Each shot receives a score from 0–100 based on proximity to the target. Your final score is out of 600.
The test also provides detailed data on:
- Carry distance control
- Left/right dispersion
- Shot pattern consistency
- Distance gapping between clubs
It’s less about one perfect strike and more about repeatability.
As a general guide:
- 60–70: Developing club golfer
- 70–80: Consistent amateur
- 80–90: Strong low-handicap player
- 90+: Elite amateur or professional standard
Many golfers lose the most points between 90–140 yards, where precise wedge control becomes critical.
To improve your score:
- Practise structured wedge distance control
- Focus on consistent carry numbers rather than total distance
- Work on tightening shot dispersion
- Regularly retest using TrackMan Combine mode to track progress
Even small improvements in wedge consistency can significantly raise your overall score.
Ready. Set. Compete.
